Albert V. Althaus, CLU®, ChFC®, AEP®
Albert V. Althaus is the president and CEO of Creative Professional & Executive Planning Corp. an organization devoted to providing Employee Benefits Planning for more than three decades His area of expertise resides in Estate, Financial, Wealth, Tax and Retirement Planning.Albert attended the University of Buenos Aires Law School, in Argentina. He began his financial career with Berkshire Life Insurance Co. and subsequently joined the management team of one of the largest agencies for the New England Life Insurance Co now a MetLife affiliate,(currently Brighthouse Financial), The Nadel Agency and Standard Pensions, specializing in Qualified and Non Qualified Retirement Plans. Albert holds a bachelor of science degree (BS) from SUNY, Chartered Life Underwriter, (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), the last two designations granted by The American College, Bryn Mawr, Pa. He taught as an Associate Professor of Estate Planning, Retirement and Financial Planning at Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY. In addition he was an instructor of Retirement Courses CEBS I and CEBS III for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, co-sponsored with the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania He served as President of the Society of Financial Service Professionals Nassau County Chapter (formerly known as The American Society of CLU and ChFC). He served as President of the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County from 2014 to 2015. He holds the AEP (Accredited Estate Planner designation) granted by The National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC) The AEP designation is awarded by the NAEPC to recognized estate planning professionals who meet special requirements of education, experience, knowledge, professional reputation and character. To keep up with the changes in times, Albert is a member of the National Estate Planning Council . MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) and holds the following insurance licenses and securities: Life, Health, Variable life, Property Casualty in NY, FL, CT, and NJ ,and series 7.
Mr. Althaus resides in Massapequa Park, NY. An avid tennis player. Al holds a Commercial Pilot License with Single Engine Land Instrument and MultiEngine Land Instrument ratings. As a member pilot of Angel Flight NE and PALS, he helps to fly patients to and from treatment centers. He is a volunteer member of the FAA Fasteam devoted to promote aviation safety through seminars As a representative of the FAASteam Albert has held seminars to promote Asset Protection Strategies for pilots and crews addressing the financial liability pilots incur when they operate airplanes.
