Jeffrey Gibralter, CPA/ABV/CFF®, CFE, AEP®
With more than 20 years of specialized experience in business valuation, forensic accounting, and litigation support, I have advised over a thousand closely held companies, attorneys, accountants, and financial professionals across a broad range of engagements — including business valuations, forensic accounting for marital disputes and equitable distribution, estate and gift tax planning, shareholder and partnership disputes, business acquisitions and sales, corporate planning, complex separate property analyses, lifestyle analyses, financial asset tracing, and business damage assessments.
My background spans litigation and forensic consulting, accounting and auditing, and tax consulting. Prior to joining Reid, I was with KLG for more than 18 years as a Partner, and before that spent over 9 years with two of the Big Four accounting firms.
I have been court-appointed as a neutral financial expert and have provided expert witness testimony on numerous occasions throughout New York State and Connecticut on matters involving business valuation, forensic accounting, financial asset tracing, and the valuation of intangible assets. I have also published various articles and speak frequently on business valuation and forensic accounting topics.
I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in New York, and hold the AICPA designations of ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) and CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics). I am also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP).
I also serve on the Executive Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Council of Long Island, Inc.
